Located in Es Mercadal, a small town in the centre of Menorca, famous for the quality of its confectionery. Five generations of master artisans, since 1875, endorse and give their name to the best representation of Menorcan confectionery products.

DISCOVER OUR ENSAIMADAS
The ensaimada as a Balearic culinary product has been produced in Menorca for many years, following the artisan tradition which is common in all of the Balearic Islands. Its name originates from the word “saïm”, which is the pork lard that is spread on the dough.
We make ensaimadas in the same way as our ancestors did, with the care and dedication of someone who loves their work and conveys this love to the product. The entire production process is done by hand, as it should be.

Sa Sucreria offers the most comprehensive range of traditional sweets and confectionery in Menorca. We feel that we are the heirs of a centenary legacy, we are excited to preserve age-old recipes, and today we can still say that we continue making carquinyols, pastissets, duquesitas or ensaimadas by hand, individually. Faithful to our origins, we have preserved this heritage since 1873 and have passed it on from parents to children, without ever losing the desire to maintain the quality of our products.
